  Users need to be able to sign up/sign in and create a profile

o User Profiles need to include:

  • Name (First and Last)
  • Location (City, State within the US)
  • Roles (Select from options that site owners create, and also have ability to select “Create my own” where user can manually type in/create new role; site owner-created role options will include Actor, Screenwriter, Producer, Director, Costume Designer, Set Designer, Videographer, Film Editor, Script Editor, and maybe some others)
  • Preferred Genre (Select from options that site owners create, and also have ability to select “Create my own” where user can manually type in/create new genre; site owner-created genre options will include Comedy, Romance, Horror, Drama, Western, Documentary, Musical, and maybe some others)
  • Typecasting Notes (Small text box for user to manually write text)
  • Short Bio (Medium-sized text box for user to write bio)
  • Button to be contacted (“Send Inmail” button that goes to user’s messages within the site, maybe also copies or sends notifications to user’s email – they must sign up to site with email and password)
  • Users need to be able to message each other (messages should be saved/retained · Users need to be able to message each other (messages should be saved/retained within the site, if possible)

2nd Milestone

 

  • Users need to be able to create projects and to search among the projects already listed

o When creating a new project, projects need users to complete these sections:

  • Title
  • Short Description
  • Genre (this needs to be chosen from site owner-created options, and also have ability to select “Create my own” where user can manually type in/create new genre; site owner-created genre options will include Comedy, Romance, Horror, Drama, Western, Documentary, Musical, and maybe some others)
  • Type of Project (examples: Series, Pilot, Short, Feature, etc.)
  • Seeking (they input all the roles they are seeking so other users know if they’re a good fit to apply for the project)
  • Roles Available (they list all available roles and the types of people they are casting)
  • Timeline *Optional* (Suggested Project Start Date, Suggested Project Completion Date, When they would like the project to begin, etc.)
  • Resources Obtained *Optional* (they input the resources they already have, like access to filming locations, filming equipment, script outline, etc.)
  • Current Stage *Optional* (they input how far along they are)
  • A button for users to apply (they would go to the application page for the project, where they can write a small message about why they want to be involved, which role or job they would do, and any other samples of their prior work that would help the creator get to evaluate them better)
  • Project creators get all applications sent to them both in the site and they get notified via email (the email they signed up for the site with)
  • A button for users to “Send Inmail for More Information” where they would be sending their inquiry message to the creator of the project
  • Users need to be able to apply to current projects
  • Users need to be able to search projects by name (typing in name and keywords) and/or by genre

o For example, they should be able to search “Comedy” and only see projects with “Comedy” as their genre

  • Site owner needs to be able to send message to ALL users
  • Site owner needs to be able to set price for annual and monthly membership
  • Site owner needs to be able to create coupons so users can get free membership or free number of months of membership
